Find Your Thing
The average person will spend 90,000 hours at work - over a third of our adult lives. And that’s before you factor in working late, checking emails at the weekend or the brain space work takes up when we’re not officially logged in.
That’s a lot of hours right? It’s the majority of the time we spend awake. It’s more than the amount of time we get to spend with our kids or our friends, and probably significantly more than we have to invest in our hobbies or passions.
Which begs the question: if so many of us are spending so much time at work, shouldn’t we be making sure work is working for us? Shouldn’t we be searching for a career that feels purposeful and meaningful, that supports our wider goals of joy and freedom, instead of settling for a job that is at best “fine” and at worst makes us completely miserable?
Enter: Find Your Thing
What is Find Your Thing?
Find Your Thing is a tried-and-tested, evidence-based and practical programme that will take you from feeling confused and overwhelmed, to focused and ready to take action.
The proven framework will help you to identify your strengths, explore industries and jobs that align with your values and interests, and build your career confidence. You’ll finish the programme with clarity over your next career steps, an understanding of your transferable skills, and the self-belief to start taking action. If you’re ready to feel excited about work again, this is for you.
“Not to be dramatic, but Find Your Thing was life-changing! The main takeaway was my working out my values, which is something I still refer back to four years on. I realised that my unhappiness in previous jobs (and aspects of my personal life) was because they didn't reflect my values and that misalignment was making me despondant and feel powerless. Working out my values and how they intersected with what I'm good at, what I can offer and what the world needs was really inspiring.
Not long after completing the course I got a job in a completely new field and am now CEO of a gender equality charity, which completely aligns with my skills and values.”
